History

All-Polish Youth was formed in 1922 out of Roman Dmowski`s inspiration, his being one of the most distinguished politicians throughout the Polish history, before the war the biggest youth organisation embracing 70 thousand students. The wartime and the occupation and then the communist period marked the murdering of the National Democrats who were considered by the occupying forces as a core of polishness the feature they aimed to eliminate. You had to wait until 1989 for the rebirth of All-Polish Youth. Roman Giertych, a grandson of Jędrzej Giertych, a prewar national activist, a politician and an educator of the young people led to the re-establishment of the organisation on December 2nd 1989. Today, All-Polish Youth with some 4 thousand activists is the biggest and the most dynamic socio-political organisation in our country.
- Education - we get to know about history, we learn to be active multidimensionally- where each of us feels strong, beginning with scientific circles, youth, social, religious, sporting organisations right up to political activity.
- Work - we organise cyclical meetings, lectures, celebrations and manifestations, social and cultural campaigns, along with publishing our own magazines and writing music.
- Fun - we organise our free time, leisure camps- yachting, walking, joint excursions and pilgrimages, we practice sport together.
"The All-Polish Youth`s principal objective is upbringing its members in the spirit of national and Catholic values and inculcating them with a full sense of patriotic duties so that they try to be beneficial to their mother country when holding any post."
(Article 3, All-Polish Youth`s Charter)
All-Polish Youth is modern patriotism- tradition and modernity in one. We act on different planes achieving bigger and bigger success. We strongly object to fooling and demoralising young people. We do not tolerate passivity in public life. We support active and creative attitudes. We want our peers to be not only well-educated but also aware of the laws that govern social and public life.
